ULSTER MASTERCHEF
The Ulster Academy Players cooked up a storm up in Belfast recently as they put their kitchen skills to the test through a 6-week cooking programme at the Belfast Metropolitan College. With many having moved out of home to pursue their professional dream, the programme was designed to upskill and inform the players while encouraging them to be more creative with their cooking. The course also appealed to their competitive instincts with their dishes being put to the test by some the very hungry judges, including Tommy Bowe and Simon Keogh.
Our MasterChef champions were Alex Thomson and Aaron Cairns with a family-secret recipe of Beef Wellington with a Mushrooms and Onion Gravy, served with a Mixed Salad and Mustard and Honey Dressing!
The programme was a great success and immensely enjoyed by all the players. Well done to Pam, Ulster Player Development Manager for coordinating.
